SONS OF CHAMPLIN

Classic Rock with a Cutting Edge

The Sons of Champlin are a veteran rock group started in Marin County in 1965. The Greatful Dead’s Mickey Hart calls them “the most talented of all the (sixties) bands.” R&B and jazz musicians, the Sons released seven albums between 1968 and 1977. After a twenty year hiatus, they reunited for a series of successful gigs. In 2002 they were back in the recording studio and touring on stage. Carmen Grillo, formerly of Tower of Power, is the band’s newest member.
